The car crashed into a tea garden while shooting a stunt sequence

Many of the movies we see these days have action sequences, and often vehicles are involved with certain scenes. There are stunts where cars and other vehicles are used as property. Such stunts are performed by the action director and his team. In the past, we’ve seen several videos behind scenes of such stunts go viral on the Internet. One of the most recognized stunts was with a Volkswagen Polo for a Malayalam movie. Here we have another video where a car flew off the road and fell into the tea garden.

The video was released by Manorama News on their YouTube channel. The video states that those who work in these gardens saw a car flying towards them and fled. Details about this stunt are not actually available. This video, which was probably shot by a person watching the shooting, shows that a car was attached to the piston of a cannon and after receiving instructions from the stunt master, the cannon pushed the car. The car was hit by a cannon and crashed into a tea garden in Ooty, Tamil Nadu.

After the car fell down, the movie director was heard instructing the team to cut the shot. To perform such stunts, a movie shooting crew usually cleans the whole area as a precaution. This is usually done to avoid any accidents during the shooting. The car used here looks like a frame, with only four wheels and nothing else. Most likely there was no one inside the vehicle as in this case no safety equipment or warning could save the passenger from injury.

When the car is used to perform stunts with the passengers in the car, the whole body of the car is strengthened by using a metal skeleton inside the cabin. This is done to ensure that the cabin does not break when the car is towed. The stunts are performed by expert drivers and technicians. In this case, the expert was the one who was controlling the cannon. He has to be precise about the calculations as well as the pressure he wants to apply so that the cannon can easily push the car. If the pressure is low, the car will not fly as high as the director wants and if it is too high, it may fall off the way the director wants.

The title of the video mentions that the people working in the plantation have fled but, in the video we are watching, not a single person is seen fleeing with the plantation. The person recording the video is also keeping a safe distance from where the stunt is being performed. Details about the movie for which this stunt sequence was shot were not shared in the report.
