The market roll-out of the new BMW i4 M50 and i4 eDrive40 continues and today, BMW Slovenia hosted a press launch. In these new photos, we can see the BMW i4 M50 again in the marketing color Frozen Portimao Blue. A more interesting car, however, is the BMW i4 eDrive40, which is featured in Mineral White.
Wide variety of colors
In terms of exterior color, the BMW i4 comes with a variety of colors. The BMW i4 will be offered with the following color options: Alpine White, Mineral White, Black Sapphire, BMW Individual Dravit Gray, Skyscraper Gray, Sunset Orange, Tanzanite Blue, San Remo Green, Avron.
Like other metallic colors, Mineral White comes with a surcharge, but of course, you can choose Alpine White at no cost. These photos are also interesting because they show us the combination of white paintwork with cerium gray elements. In terms of model lines, the i4 could be spaced in Europe with a series trim or M Sport trim. The i4 M50 model also gets its own distinctive exterior features.
17 to 20 inch wheels
This model also supports 19-inch light-alloy wheels in Y-spoke 859M design. Wheels and options, BMW offers a continuous array of light-alloy wheels for the new i4, with aerodynamic designs ranging from 17 ″ and 20. Inside we see fine wood trim of open-hole oak grains with Vernasca oyster leather with decorative stitching and accent strip in pearlescent chrome.
Despite its minimalist features, the i4 eDrive40 boasts of classic rear-wheel drive architecture, delivering 250 kW / 340 hp and 430 Nm of torque. The electric driving range in the WLTP cycle is rated up to 590 kilometers (367 miles). Straight line performance is equally impressive: 0 to 100 km / h (0-62mph) to 5.7 seconds.
The i4 can charge up to 200 kW with a compatible DC fast charger. At that speed, the BMW i4 40 can recharge 102 miles in just ten minutes, while the i4 M50 gets only 87 miles at the same time. It can also charge up to 11 kW from a Level 2 home charger, which will take up to eight hours for the battery to fully charge.
The 2022 BMW i4 eDrive40 starts at $ 55,400 in the US and has an EPA range of 282-301 miles depending on the tire / wheel selection.
