Suzuki Motorcycle India today launched the new 250cc Sports Adventure Tour motorcycle V-Strom SX in India. The all-new V-Strom SX is priced at Rs 2.11 lakh, ex-showroom. This is Suzuki’s entry level product in the Sports Adventure Tour segment. The Suzuki V-Strom will compete with motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Adventure, Benelli TRK 251, BMW G 310 GS in the SX segment.

The Suzuki V-Strom SX 250cc is a dual-purpose motorcycle. It is suitable for both highways, city runs and challenging terrain. The V-Strom SX is actually based on Suzuki’s Gixxer 250 motorcycle which is already being sold in India. The styling of the motorcycle has changed and now it has got a beak design, octagonal LED headlamps, fly screen, knuckle guards, muscular looking tank design, short up-swift exhaust, LED tail lamps and much more. The design of the V-Strom SX has got a rough and tough look design which is actually like a high power V-Strom motorcycle.
Suzuki offers a complete digital instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth connection, USB charger and other features. The instrument cluster displays notifications like turn-by-turn navigation, incoming calls, SMS alerts and missed alerts when connected to a mobile phone via a WhatsApp alert display and booth. The V-Strom SX comes with a telescopic fork at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. As an adventure tour motorcycle, the V-Strom SX has more travel in suspension than the regular Gixxer 250. The front and rear have disc brakes and the bike also has dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle has 19 inch front and 17 inch rear wheels and has a ground clearance of 205 mm. The seat height of this motorcycle is 835 mm and it has a 12 liter fuel tank.
As mentioned above, the V-Strom SX is based on the Gixxer 250 and is powered by the same 249-cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, oil cooled engine. The engine generates 26.5 Ps and 22.2 Nm of peak torque. Combined with a 6-speed gearbox. The Suzuki V-Strom SX is available in three shades – Champion Yellow No. 2, Pearl Blaze Orange and Glass Sparkle Black.
