Kia recently launched their all-new 6-seater MUV Carens in the market. Like other Kia products, Carens quickly became popular among buyers. The main reason behind this popularity is the attractive price. The Carens is priced in such a way that it is cheaper than the 5-seater Celtos. Aftermarket accessories have started to come in the currency market. Videos of this type of customization have started to be published online and here we have a video showing a Kia Carens with aftermarket accessories installed in it.
The video was uploaded by Sparkle Caraccessories on their YouTube channel. In this video, Vlogger shows what the car looked like when it arrived at the workshop and how it looks after customization. It looks like a mid-variant that comes from the factory with a decent number of features. The car still misses all the features like LED headlamps and many more. Vlogger first starts with the exterior and mentions that the car’s halogen bulbs have been replaced with an LED unit. The original LED DRLs of the currents have been retained.

Most of the customization has been done inside the cabin. The car comes from the fabric seat cover factory. It has been replaced with aftermarket custom fit ice gray colored seat cover. The fit and finish of the seat cover looks good in the video. Most of the black plastic panels on the Vlogger door are painted in gloss black finish. Door pads are wrapped in leather and door pads are also fitted with ambient light. Like the seat, the steering wheel has dual tone cover. In addition, the matte finish on the dashboard has been finished in gloss to match the panel around the touchscreen infotainment system. No other major changes are visible in this car.
Kia Carens is based on the same platform as the Kia Celtos. However, it is not being marketed in the segment as an SUV like Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus. Curran’s design is not the same as SUV’s. Kia is offering 6 airbags as standard in the currents and it is the first car in the country to get this feature across the standard range. The Kia also offers features like top-end variants from Bose to ventilated seats, attached car features, premium speaker system. The Carens seen here in the video are powered by a turbo petrol engine.
Carens are offered with three engine and transmission options. This is the same engine and gearbox combo seen in the Kia Celtos. There is a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine and a 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol engine. The 1.5 liter petrol engine generates 115 Ps and 144 Nm of peak torque. It is available with a manual and an IVT gearbox The 1.5 liter diesel engine generates 115 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.4 turbo petrol engine generates 140 Ps and 242 Nm of peak torque. It comes with manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox option.
