Another day, another iX with a special finish. After seeing the electric SUV with a bold look made for Coachella, this eye-catching example serves a different purpose. RE: DESIGN iX represents an effort by a branch of the BMW Group in Slovenia based on the entry-level xDrive40 version. A competition was organized to mark 50 years of involvement in the artistic world.

On December 21, BMW Slovenia hosts an open competition for all artists under the age of 35. Participants were asked to bring an RTC lever for RE: DESIGN iX that would highlight durability and mobility. The members of the jury assisted the participants by providing a source of inspiration. The company’s design boss, Domagoj Dukec, was a member of staff to lend a helping hand. A total of 17 manufacturers have submitted their designs and you are now looking at the winner.

Urban Clinkon, RE: DESIGN iX begins with three colors: yellow, red and blue, explains RE: DESIGN iX, a master’s student at Lublin’s Academy of Fine Arts and Design. These were illustrated using a simple artistic element – a line. He sees his work as a sketch in the sense that it illustrates a new beginning for the BMW Group as it approaches the electric age.

Speaking about the IX, BMW’s head of design, Domagoj Dukec, said the electric SUV: “A perfect combination of industry and technology. We have set up a challenging challenge for young artists, our own interpretation of these two themes. The creative ideas of the artists have not only emphasized the strong character of the BMW iX, they have also been convinced of their unique creativity. “

RE: Presented at DESIGN iX Cookerne, a former sugar factory that turned into an art gallery. BMW’s silent SUV is now roaming the streets of Slovenia and will be on display at selected dealerships across the country next month.
