For decades, special paints have been reserved for high-end models. However, all that changed last year when BMW introduced separate colors for front-wheel-drive vehicles. Specifically, 1 Series Hatchback and 2 Series Gran Coupe. The former is now getting a special edition in South Korea where the M135i is dressed to impress in signal green.

Available online exclusively as a bold color F40 prism. BMW’s AWD Hot Hatch will be available to order at the local webshop from April 20. In addition to the look-at-me paint work, it gets a glossy black finish for the side mirror cap and kidney grille. In addition, the dual exhaust tips have a darker look.

The M135i xDrive Prism mounts on 19-inch M wheels with a dual-color finish. Although pictures of the interior were not provided, BMW South Korea said there were several black accents throughout the cabin. Like the regular M Performance 1 series, the Prism is offered exclusively with an automatic transmission and AWD. Its B58 remains unchanged, so the 3.0-liter inline-six turbo engine produces 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton-meters) of torque.

The M135i xDrive Prism has joined another special edition BMW in South Korea

Production of only 18 vehicles will be limited to 62.6 million won. It works out to about $ 51,000 (€ 47,100) at current exchange rates. The M135i xDrive Prism has joined the first edition of the M240i xDrive Coupe online at BMW Shop Online in South Korea. Drawn by Thundernite Metallic, the Sports Coupe gets a rich list of standard equipment and is limited to 69.2 million won ($ 56,300 or € 52,000) out of 27 cars.

Two special editions will be sold alongside the online exclusive versions of the iX3, M440i and X7 xDrive40i. These are all sold with standard cars but pack extra standard kits. BMW South Korea has stated that additional Prism special editions will follow in the near future and will probably only be available online.
